Within the scope of the project, an Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Strategy and Action Plan for Denizli, together with the associated proposed ITS architecture, was developed and brought into an approvable and coherent configuration. This deliverables package commenced with the Current Situation Analysis Report and was subsequently complemented by the ITS Vision Report and the Urban Transport Strategy Report. The engineering backbone of the package was established through the ITS Architecture Document, designed to be consistent with the national architecture and aligned with EU frameworks. The operationalisation of the strategy was then completed through the Implementation Plan \/ Measures Report, which includes prioritised sets of actions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

On the operational side, the Traffic Management Centre (TMC) structure in Denizli was transformed and made fully operational. Key deliverables for the TMC included the organisational chart; role\u2013responsibility\u2013KPI sets for each position; a Procedures Manual describing processes step by step; and definitions of ideal professional profiles. To ensure institutional sustainability, an Training Needs Analysis Report, a capacity development plan for TMC staff, a separate capacity plan to build SUMP development competence, the delivery of the planned trainings, and study visits to two EU cities were completed. As the most critical operational output, system integration was implemented and the passenger\/driver information and safety\u2013surveillance components were put into integrated operation. The number of smart stops was increased to 95; passenger and driver information systems were deployed on 258 buses; mobile access was enabled; and datasets producing route\/stop-based passenger density information were brought into operation. In terms of communication and visibility, the Communication and Visibility Plan, visibility materials, a 90-second informational video, social media campaigns, and the closing event were delivered.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

As a result, Denizli\u2019s transformation in public transport and traffic operations was underpinned by a city-specific ITS Strategy and Action Plan and an ITS architecture, providing an implementable roadmap to support decision-making and investment prioritisation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

This framework was translated into institutional operational capacity through the establishment and activation of the TMC. Processes, roles, and KPIs were formalised through procedures, thereby putting in place a sustainable governance and management model.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

On the field side, system integration was ensured; passenger\/driver information, safety-surveillance, and passenger counting components were consolidated into a single operational workflow; smart-stop coverage was increased to 95 and the in-vehicle information systems coverage to 258 buses; and mobile access together with the ability to generate route\/stop-based demand and density data was enabled.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
